Here are some facts that most real estate salespeople will not tell you about Open Homes:

1.    Statistically very few homes are bought directly from a new client being introduced to a property by an open home.
2.    Open Homes attract ‘nosey neighbours’, potential sellers & home decorators!
3.    They also open the door to shy buyers – these people rarely leave good contact details.  

However,

1.    Never-say-never: your buyer could come through that open home.
2.    We at least had the flag flying & your salesperson was being proactive.
3.    When it is a ‘sellers market’, lots of people at an open home creates interest & competition among buyers.
